15-year-old arrested in deadly Powder Springs shooting, police say

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder in connection with a deadly shooting in a Powder Springs neighborhood Friday night.Shortly before 9:45 p.m. Friday, officers with the Powder Springs Police Department responded to a person shot at a home on Mustang Drive, according to the Cobb County Police Department, which is leading the investigation.Officers found the victim, 18-year-old British Hart, with a gunshot wound.Lifesaving measures were attempted, but Hart succumbed to his injuries. The Powder Springs Police Department then asked the Cobb County Police Major Crimes Unit to respond and take over the investigation. On Monday, Cobb police said a 15-year old juvenile boy was arrested on charges of felony murder and aggravated assault. The suspect is being held at the Cobb County Youth Detention Center with no bond. He was charged as an adult. Police have not released his identity.
